Didn't like his attitude. Poo-pooed me for wanting to wear the most minimal prescription possible to find exercises that strengthened my eyes so I wouldn't have to rely on glasses.

Best OD ever!  His motto is "minimal correction" so that your eyes only receive the help they actually need.  His specialty is "hard to please" eyes, so if you are having trouble finding the right contact lenses Dr. Dickey is your man.  He also has a keen consideration for personal budgets, which is rare.

Before Dr. Dickey, I was on expensive toric lenses with different strengths in each eye.  He determined that my astigmatism would be better treated with an aspheric lens and also that my eyes would be healthier with the same strength in both eyes.  He saved me $300/year in lens costs, and I see better than before!  

Similarly, when I was ready to get a pair of glasses, he offered many different lens options to make sure that I picked one that fit my budget and also the look I wanted.  

I've since recommended Dr. Dickey to 3 of my coworkers and friends, and they are all fans now, too.

Dr Dickey is amazing, and I would never go to another OD ever. Seriously his attention to detail, and desire to get your prescription right are unmatched. My wife has a 'tricky' prescription and Dr Dickey always makes sure she is happy with the results. Bravo, and please keep up the good work.

Even if I moved out of the area, I would still visit Dr Dickey to ensure my eyes are healthy and performing at their best.

The worst optometrist I have ever seen. Got my prescription totally wrong. Wasted money, and now I have to go see a different optometrist to get everything corrected. My eyeglass prescription is wrong, and my contact lens prescription is worse than before. I have developed an astigmatism before of this doctor's rushed and shoddy exam (you can see from the reviews here that this is not the first time this occurred, though unlike the previous poster I do not wish to see the same awful doctor again).

Find another optometrist, for your own good!

I went to the guy at the advice, er, insistence of my wife.  I didn't fall in love with the place at first, and my glasses didn't have the right rx in them sooooo..

I called and complained, and they really stepped up to the plate.  I went back, the doc spent over an hour with me, and it turns out the rx was wrong, but it was from my OTHER OD.  Either way, they made me happy, and I will be going back to them going forward.

Dr. Dickey is the BEST! His staff is very friendly, he has awesome bedside manners, makes you laugh (a lot!) and discusses medical issues in a way even a 5 year old could comprehend. One of my favorite things about Dr. Dickey is his way of looking at the whole picture - taking into account all of your lifestyle habits and thinking through how they might effect your vision quality, or your perception of sight, at different times throughout the day... we made amazing breakthroughs during only one visit! I highly recommend Dr. Dickey to anyone and everyone :)

Once you go Dickey you'll never go anywhere else.  I picked Dr. Dickey as my optometrist six years ago because his name made me laugh and his office was close to my house.  I'm no optometrist expert or anything, but I have had glasses for as long as I can remember and this guy is the best!  Everyone at his office is super friendly and with the cottagy office they have, visits feel like I'm being welcomed into a friend's house

The guy they have to help with glasses is also amazing.  If you ever need to pick glasses or get glasses adjusted, go here!!!  He helped me pick out my favorite glasses, and I've sent some guy friends here and he picked rad ones for them too.  I brought my new sunglasses there yesterday after trying to get them fit uncesseccfully at Sunglasses Hut and Lenscrafters.  He looked once at how the glasses were fitting on my face, took them in the back, and 5 minutes later they fit perfectly!!!  

Thanks Dr. Dickey and staff!!!
