Gorgeous, gorgeous, gorgeous arrangements.  They're inventive, they're interesting, they're wonderful.  You can't beat Mark's Garden for seriously high-quality florals.

However, my office had weekly delivery from Mark's for two years and their service is very spotty.  The arrangements were always a few hours late and they were difficult to get a hold of when we called to inquire as to the whereabouts of the deliveries.  For the cost of these flowers, we expected exceptional customer service and rarely got it.  I

About two normal Tuesdays ago, one very lucky girl received an extravagant display of affection from her Boyfriend.

The arrangement (which I have affectionately nicknamed "the meadow" ) included apricot tulips, peach roses, fire and ice sprinkled roses, periwinkle hydrangea, white orchids, purple lilacs, white bell shaped flowers, bright pink bell shaped flowers....whew! There were others in the arrangement but I don't know what they are called.
All the flowers were fresh and the roses were the size of my dog's* head!
Hands down the most beautiful flowers that I had ever received in my life!

The following are comments from my fellow co-workers through out that blissful Tuesday:
"Whoa! Those are some flowers!"
"Is it your birthday?"
"Dayam! Your Boyfriend must REALLY love you or he messed up royally!"
"Good LORD! I've been married 6 years and my WIFE doesn't get flowers like that!"
and my all time favorite...

"Is it love?"

Yes, it is.

I can't really comment on the customer service but I CAN say that Mark's is absolutely the BEST!

Thank you for my MEADOW, MOMD!

Kisses,

Pooks

*This is the 2ND flower delivery from Mark's from my MOMD! The first one had me on the floor with a mini heart-attack

Unbelievably rude phone service..I called because the flowers that were sent to me were left at my door (with no prior call to warn us) and they wilted in the heat...I had to stay on hold for hours to talk to someone about replacing them.  They are way too expensive for this kind of bad service.  I would use Larchmont Florist any day!

I really do love this florist.  They have wonderful arrangements.  Their best are those in baskets.  However, those in regular ol' vases aren't bad either.

My company uses this florist exclusively through the year but we have them send the most out during the holidays.  One of our clients is way out in the Santa Barbara county.  In the past, Mark's Garden used a local florist to arrange the flowers to be sent but they were never as good.

However, they recently started shipping their arrangements via FedEx and so now we're able to send their actual arrangements.

You could order them online through their website but I find it's much easier to talk to someone over the phone.  I can tell them exactly what I would like to send and the amount I want to send versus selecting a pre-priced arrangement.

From a receipients view point, I truly believe Mark's Garden is something special.  I was very impressed with the arrangement.  An arrangement from any other shop is nice to receive but the beauty of an arrangement from Mark's Garden will carry through each day as long as it lasts.  Like many service sectors, you will never know how good it is till you try it but I know you won't be disappointed.  From their website I received the following information: Name a price starting from $50 and let them know the occasion, thats it...

***Update***
I'm looking at an arrangement from Mark's Garden as I yelp, its actually a replacement piece since the flowers from yesterdays delivery was less than impressive.  I'm changing my rating from 5 stars to 4 stars.  Both arrangements lack healthy perky flowers, I'm disappointed, Mark's Garden made me swallow my words!

Ugh.  I really hate myself sometimes!  Why am I such a girl!?!?!?   I try to be all "quirky" and "wacky" and "unrobotic" in most areas of my life, but then I go and wreck all my hard work by being a total cliche when it comes to receiving flowers.  Not only am I a HUGE sucker for a beautiful bouquet of clipped plantlife with a serious expiration date, but I am ridiculously unoriginal in my choice of favorite flower as well!  It pains me to admit it, but I kind of, sort of, really really love pink and yellow roses.  I might as well surrender my freak flag now.  But can you blame me for flying it at half-mast when there is a florist like Mark's Garden?

Now Mark is a bit of a stickler with his prices, but just like roses are the best flower, Mark is the best florist.  Combine the two and what do you get?  RosesMark.  Kidding!  Seeeeeee!!  I still stock the funny even when the freak is hiding in the basement!!!  But seriously, what you really get (or what I get, since they are sitting on MY desk at the moment) is one of the most gorgeous arrangement of flowers available in the Los Angeles area.  I know the other unoriginal girls in my place of employment are incredibly jealous of my uninhibited display that someone out there finds me special enough to spend money on dead things for me on my (almost) birthday.  It's a good thing.  Even if does mean I'm a robot.  Robots do have feelings too, you know!

*Note: Jealousy is exponentially increased if you put a large sign on/near the flowers that reads: "FROM: MY SECRET LOVER."  It also helps to hum the "Secret Lover" song from the "Who's in your fave five?" cellular telephone commercial.

Am I a kiss-ass that sent her supervisor Casablanca Lilies for Boss's Day? Yeees. But they were from the whole TEAM - not just me.

What? They were! Oh piss off already. I crazy heart my boss and you can't shame me out of it.

She said they were the most beautiful flowers she's ever received. Thanks to Yelp for helping me find this florist. Apparently he did the wedding flowers for Heidi Klum and Britney Spears.. which.. err... is supposedly a good thing.

Mark's Garden is their main web site, but you can also order some arrangements online at http://www.marksflower....

SO DISAPPOINTED!

They cannot deliver a arrangement to save their lives. I am so bitter today, I just dropped over $120+ USD on my Wifes floral arrangement and it's been 6+ hours and it is still not delivered!

My Wife is going to go home, without her flowers, and without her husbands Birthday Wishes. I hope to god they read this and do something to improve their customer servicing and expectations.

What a waste of money, I should of stuck to Jacob Maarse as they KNOW how to deliver results not unfulfilled promises.

WARNING - MARKS GARDEN IS NOT WHAT THEY USED TO BE!

I got married five years ago, and Mark's Garden made the bouquets for the bridal party and our boutonnieres.. which probably doesn't sound strange except the total budget for our wedding was $6000 and we got exceptional flowers for the same price we would have paid at any regular florist. I'd asked for a round, hand tied bouquet of the darkest red roses for myself, tied with cream silk ribbon and that's exactly what I got - really, it more than exceeded my expectations. The boutonnieres were fab, but the bridesmaids posies were a little different to my request which actually worked out much better than originally intended. The gowns were royal purple and I'd asked for green hydrangea. On the day, we were given green orchids at no extra charge, wrapped with an irridescent green and gold organza ribbon, because the color and quality of the hydrangea hadn't been up to the florist's standards. I was pretty thrilled overall, and my bill was around $500 for my three bridesmaids, me, corsages, boutonnieres and odds and ends. I have to say that looking back at my wedding pictures, the flowers are still absolutely gorgeous and I'm pretty hard to impress given that I worked in the bridal industry for over ten years so I've seen a *lot* of flowers. ;)

If I had to do it all over again, Mark's Garden would still be my choice, no matter the price. Some things are totally worth the price tag. This is one of them!

Indeed a phenomenal place to get flowers! They have a unique style and every single freekin' arrangement/basket I've seen from them is absolutely gorgeous!!! Creative and off the wall...how they think of this stuff and make it look so beautiful is beyond me...

I don't know Mark, but damn, you (or your designers) should be held as the standard for flowers everywhere... you inspire me and you definitely brighten up any environment that is fortunate to receive a delivery from you!! :)

This florist is amazing!

I once received a basket from here and it was like an enchanted meadow of gorgeous flowers, grapes and moss, and arrived in this beautful basket AND lasted over a month! By far the nicest floral gift I've ever received. Great for a gift that will really blow the pants off the person you are sending it to.

Not the cheapest place around. But you get above and beyond what you are paying for!!

PS: Mark's Garden has recently created designs for celebrity events such as the recent weddings of Gwen Stefani, Charlie Sheen and Denise Richards, Jennifer Lopez, Jessica Simpson, Shaquille O'Neal, and Adam Sandler, to name only a few.

(One thing is for sure, even though the charlie/denise and the jess/nick marriage didn't last, the flowers were phenom!)

The best florist EVER.  Like any decent florist, it is not cheap.  I think their prices start at $50 for a smaller vase arrangement.  But for a special occasion it is so perfect.  All you have to do is tell them the amount you want to spend, the occasion, and any other specifics you want and you are guaranteed to have a breathtaking arrangement.  I love this place.
